Partner and Lead Social Security Disability Attorney
Mason is the lead disability attorney at Atkins and Markoff representing Oklahomans seeking Social Security disability benefits. Though he has applied his expertise to a wide variety of cases throughout his tenure at the firm, he has focused on Social Security disability law for the majority of his career. Mason has argued more than a thousand disability hearings in front of Administrative Law Judges throughout Oklahoma and North Texas, and he has a proven track record of helping Oklahomans and achieving positive results. As the head attorney for Oklahoma’s top Social Security disability firm, Mason’s first-hand experience and knowledge of the disability regulations allow him to competently and effectively help disabled Oklahomans through the disability adjudication process.
Mason earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas and attended law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law. While in law school, he was a law clerk at Atkins and Markoff focusing on personal injury cases and pharmaceutical torts. During this time, he acquired valuable experience in diverse areas of law before devoting his talents exclusively to Social Security. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives, and the Oklahoma Organization of Social Security Claimants.
Mason was born and raised in Mena, Arkansas, where he played football and ran track in high school. Mason and his wife are both graduates of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where they met, have been married for six years and have one child. In addition to spending time with his family, Mason enjoys hunting deer, chasing elk in Colorado and bass fishing.
